Purchase: I bought this about 2 years ago at dover saddlery when the tree to my no-name saddle broke and I had to replace it.I bought it because it was inexpensive and had the gullet change system, and I was riding a few different horses. I don't remember how much exactly I payed for it but it was around $400 maybe $450.
Likes: It is a very comfortable saddle, and with the gullet change system it was the perfect one for me. I was at the time leasing a horse and was looking to buy a horse, so I didn't know what size saddle I would need. It fit the saddlebred I was riding very well. And now it fits my Belgian QH X very nicely. Changing the actually gullet was extremely easy and simple, and took about 10 min. to do. Fitting it was simple too because of the measuring thing that they include in the full gullet set. I also like how I sit in it. I don't feel like it pitches me forward or pushes me back like I do with some other saddles I have ridden in. It is as I said before very comfy. It is a great saddle to school and to go to schooling shows in, I have done low level eventing and dressage and jumping in it and have gone to local shows with it. Cleaning it is really easy and great too. I just use baby wipes, or hose it down with a little soap the night before a show. Its nice that you don't have to oil it.
Dislikes: I live in New England and this winter it got extremely cold (about -10 degrees) and the billets and the stirrup leathers both got cracks in them. Its not a safety issue because there is nylon in the middle. And the costumer service is not the greatest.
Quality: The saddle is nicely constructed but the billets and stirrup leathers didn't tolerate the cold well. I love the fact that the leathers and billets do not stretch out too much like leather dose.
Summary: Its a good saddle for someone who is riding different horses.
It is very easy to clean and very comfortable.
