Purchase: I purchased it new from a store on Ebay for about $500 including the complete gullet system. A GREAT deal!
Likes: I have a draft horse, but I ride an Appaloosa in shows. This saddle can fit both perfectly just by measureing them and changing to the correct size gullet plate! If it starts to sprinkle at a show, I don't have to panic about it getting wet. It's very comfortable to sit in and the suede-like seat gives your seat a good grip. It's one of the best tack purchases I've made.
Dislikes: Changing the gullet plate takes some practice to get done quickly. At first, I thought "Ok, when Wintec says "Easy Change gullet system" they must mean "easier than saving more money for a saddle for every horse you ride". But once you figure it out the quirks, it's great and can be done in no time. The stirrup leather keeper has Wintec in gold on it and that might make some people shy away from it as a show saddle, but it (the leather keeper) can always be covered up with a piece of black leather, fabric, or paint. Worth every penny!
Quality: It is synthetic. Instead of traditional flocking, it has air filled cusions.
