Purchase: I purchased this saddle from an Ebay seller. I'd admired these saddles when I was just out of college, but couldn't afford one when Crosby was still making them.
Likes: This saddle fits a variety of horses and is very comfortable for me. If friends try it, they're always surprised at how comfy it is for not being one of the poofy 'airflow' marshmallow AP/jump saddles popular today. It's much easier to sit down on this saddle and maintain a quieter, more balanced seat. I do add a gel pad under it when riding my senior mare to make sure SHE has enough padding.
Dislikes: As another user noted, the flaps do get rubbed pretty easily by the stirrup leathers. The blemishes essentially disappear when the saddle is cleaned however and are not noticeable under my boots betweeen cleanings.
Quality: Excellent construction! I've had my saddle 7 years or so and I'm sure it was at least 15 yrs old or so when I bought it. No loose anything!
Summary: If you come across one of these on Ebay or in a tack shop, snap it up! Of course I may be bidding against you on Ebay as I need to buy a backup Mark VI :o)
