Purchase: I was looking for a pair of half chaps that would last a while for when I was schooling. After trying on many pairs of half chaps, the Grand Prix fit perfectly and have lasted me over three years (I paid $90). Never once did they (or have they) broken, with the exception of a button top popping off.
Likes: These half chaps can mold themselves to practically anyone's legs. My friends have worn them also and have also loved them. The zipper is also very sturdy.
Dislikes: The only thing that I do not like about these chaps is that the bottom button is not the strongest (although it did last two years on mine)and the top of the button fell off. It was easy to repair though.
Quality: The stitching on these half chaps is finely stitched and would be very hard to rip or tear. The suede on the knee patches does wear down to show the leather so that the half chaps after a year or so do look like they are 100% leather. This only happens where the calves touch the saddle.
Summary: These are excellent half chaps! From one to one hundred, they are about a 99%! I don't think that mine will ever break and I will be buying a second pair!
