Purchase: I bought this straight from the Dr. Cook's website for $189.95. I got because I loved my Dr. Cook's western bridle, and I started riding primarily english. I got the cob size in havana.
Likes: I love Dr. Cook's bridles. My horse use to stick her nose straight up in the air in order to evade even a loose ring snaffle, but with this bridle she goes easily and has a better head position. The leather is a very nice quality especially after softening it with Leather Therapy (that was their suggestion). The cob fits my lg. pony nicely. The stainless steel hardware has held up. I use this bridle for trails, shows, and ringwork. I will never put a bit in my horse's mouth again!
Dislikes: The only issue I've had with it is that the leather that runs through the rings is wearing pretty quickly. They tell you that you have to keep it conditioned. I feel that I take great care of my tack, so I don't think that is the problem. However, they have great customer service, and are willing to help you. Also the brown leather is very dark so it's tough to match to other tack.
Quality: Leather is super nice. Fits my horse well. Stainless steel hardware doesn't show any signs of rust.
Summary: I love love love this bridle, and all their bridles. I feel that my horse readily accepts this bridle, and she never fights it. It also has improved our communication. You can do anything in this bridle including jumping, dressage, barrels, trails etc.
