Purchase: I bought this saddle to upgrade from my synthetic close contact that was just too stiff and had an uncomfortable seat. I paid $575 new from a private dealer that had it on clearance, was a killer deal.
Likes: I loved the look of this saddle, the two-tone rich color just screams 'show me' haha. The leather is nice and thick and the stitching was very well done and matched the colors, no nasty white stitching.
Dislikes: I first thought this saddle was 'ride ready' boy was I wrong! I rode in it for a few weeks and soon the leather was so stiff and dry I couldn't stand it. Took it home and gave it 2-hours of cleaning/oiling, oiled it four times before it stopped taking! Then the leather was soft and rich again. I've kept it oiled ever since, takes a while to break in but fits my horse great.
Quality: Very nice quality for someone on a budget.
Summary: Great buy for the price, just make sure you give it a few good oiling sessions, Lol. Fits both my stocky QH and 16.2H TB with shark withers, just pad it up a bit.
