Purchase: I bought this at TSC for $9 to use on the ears and face of a horse I was trying to sell, so when people came out to look at him he wouldn't be flicking his head to get flies away during riding.
Likes: It works really well, and actually does last for days, even if you hose off your horse or he sweats a lot. He didn't flick his head even once after it was applied. In fact, it probably was one of the reasons I was able to sell my horse in less than a week---because he is a good buy but didn't have to struggle with trying to listen to me but cope with biting flies.
Dislikes: The price is a bit steep. Other than that, nothing.
Quality: Farnam has other roll ons, and if you plan to apply a roll on every day, I would buy a cheaper one. This one lasts for days---I only apply it once a week. So if you intend to use it sparingly, ie at horse shows, etc, it's a good value because it works well and lasts for a very long time. On the other hand, if you just put it on daily as part of the regular tacking up, I'd use something cheaper than lasts for only a day. Then again, a cheap one is $4 and this one was $9, so this one wasn't even that much more expensive.
Summary: Buy this to stop head shaking if the flies are bothering your horse when you ride. It's a good product that lasts for days. I would highly recommend it.
