Purchase: Bought new from Sliester Bit and Spur Co. $60.
Likes: I like the balance of the bit, the weight, and my horse's acceptance of it.
Dislikes: The rings froze up within just a couple of months. Using Fluid Film on them helped some, but one side is still not as free as it should be.
Quality: Well constructed and balanced in horse's mouth.
Summary: I e-mailed the company and waited a month for a reply before calling. Maybe my e-mail didn't go through. Anyway, they were pleasant to talk to and said if I would send the bit back, they would fix it or send me a new one. There might have been a burr somewhere within the ring joint. Apparently this is a rare problem with this type of bit, but they are standing behind their product. Can't ask for more than that!
