Purchase: Bought from Dixieland Gaited Saddles after getting some trees to try for fit. Paid $1406.
Likes: Saddle is well constructed, pretty, and I had a lot of input into what I wanted. Best of all, it fits more than one of the horses I ride.
Cynthia was easy to work with and answered my calls and e-mails in a timely fashion.
Dislikes: The only thing I don't like after riding this saddle for a year now is the leather covered stirrups. I didn't realize that the stirrup underneath was aluminum or I never would have gotten them.
The foot pad in one saddle came out several months ago.
Just recently, one of my young horses laid down and slowly started to roll on her side and the stirrup crushed. Very big safety hazard!!! Good stirrups don't crush and perhaps trap a rider's foot.
Quality: Nice quality workmanship, good leather, and an attractive saddle that remains looking good after a year of riding.
Summary: I'm happy with my purchase other than the stirrups I got and would recommend dealing with Dixieland Gaited Saddles to anyone wanting a good quality saddle at a reasonable price.
