Purchase: I got this fly sheet in a trade for another fly sheet made by Kensington in a smaller size. I needed a larger fly sheet and this one I haven't tried before so I agreed to trade.
Likes: I love the buckle system on this fly sheet since it has snaps instead of hooks. You can remove the belly straps from either side of the horse. I also like the velcro on the front of the sheet where it comes together.
Dislikes: I don't like the neck and chest area. It doesn't seem to fit correctly. The neck fits if the chest doesn't fit and vice versa. Wish it fit better in the neck area so I could leave it on all the time instead of having to take it off to make sure there is no damage being done to the bottom of the neck area while grazing.
Quality: This sheet blocks out 70% of the sun's harmful UV rays and keeps the flies from biting most of the horse. Mesh construction is very heavy and is somewhat durable but since it doesn't fit horses correctly, the gussets are stressed and they are starting to come apart.
Summary: I wish this sheet was better suited for stock big bodied horses like I have and I would put this sheet on everyone because I really like this sheet overall and so far it has held up all most as good as some of the $100 sheets. It would be great for high withered horses or thin horses but if you have a thick stock QH it will be a little harder to fit in the neck shoulder area. Over all I would give this sheet a B+ on function and form. Good sheet for the $40 price range.
