Purchase: I have two of these in the shop for sale. They are both priced in the $500-600 range.
Likes: I like the general lines of these saddles. The flaps and the skirts of these are of a great quality leather, that stands the test of time, and responds well to a good dressing.
Dislikes: When riding my Arabian, while the saddle fitted him well i felt that the saddle gives you a sense of separation from the powerhouse of your horse, and tends to drive you onto the twist of the saddle. This is in spite of rolling my pelvis backwards...
This was not terrible, but definitely made you aware of the tilt of your seat.
Quality: I am appalled by the quality of the seat leather and the binding leather. This appears to be of a substandard chrome type leather and wears fluffy to look like the bottom of a sheepskin.
I am concerned by just how much real leather is in this saddle.
Having been inside these saddles they are very plasticy and not designed with a long life in mind.
Summary: Not a saddle I would rush out to buy, well not one that has seen any work anyway.
If you got one cheap enough and were happy to keep a bottle of nugget about for fixing the poor leather appearance, then I think it is better than a really cheap Indian saddle but only just.
