Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle at a local tack store in MD for $1699. This is a new model for Circle Y. I do not own a western saddle and am interested in a good all around saddle for trail and arena work. This is not a saddle for roping!
Likes: It is just a BEAUTIFUL saddle! Simply understated in a rich walnut color, and minimal border tooling. First ride out and already it feels broken in. The saddle weighs in at under 30#'s so compared to my father's 40+# old western saddle, this is a lightweight. It has wider stirrups which makes for comfortable riding and my feet have not gone numb from hrs in the saddle
Dislikes: Right now, I can find nothing
Quality: Circle Y, what can else can I say
Summary: For a first time western saddle, I couldn't have made a better choice! Quality speaks for itself.
Usefulness Rating: 3.375 out of 5.
