Purchase: I bought these stirrup leathers from local tack shop for around $60.00 brand new
Likes: I love the 1" wide leathers because they lay quiet under your thigh and are buttery soft calf skin wrapped nylon lined stirrup leathers. I bought Cognac color that I very lightly oiled to match my pesso oakbark colored saddle and the match is impeccable. Actually, I could have left them as is and they would have matched my knee padding exactly. They are so soft and supple and keep my stirrups in better position because they are 1" and slightly thicker because of the calfskin and they have flatter buckles so there is less bulk under my thighs. My trainer is so impressed with them that she wants to get a pair for herself and always makes a comment when she see's them on how really nice they are.
Dislikes: I have nothing bad to say they are perfect and they make my saddle look better with them.
Quality: So far they are well intact with no complaints on stitching everything is great! I have had them several months and no stretching or other problems except they are really too nice for my saddle. Because they are a tiny bit thicker leather they may be hard to pull through your stirrup bar at first but after a few runs through they flatten out in that area. They are soft leather not hard leather so they don't run through things as easily as older hard leather.
Summary: If you are looking for upgrading your leathers, this is a major upgrade and for around $60 bucks it's well worth the money. Especially if you are looking for upgrading for your shows, these are amazing leathers and look like a million bucks on your saddle and they are soft and quiet you will love them.
