Purchase: I bought theses chaps at statelinetack.com for $89.99 - these were/are my first pair of chaps and i think they are amazing!!! My trainer suggested that it was time to get some half chaps, as i was starting to do more advanced work and she said they would help me a lot (i didnt get my chaps until i started jumping 2ft)
Likes: i love that they keep my leg in a good position (i still have to do a little work, they dont just glue me to the saddle). they are also, for the most part, well made, and the leather stays nice (with regular cleaning) and they are also very stylish
Dislikes: its probably the way i treated them in the beginning, but the buttons at the bottom off the chap to keep the zipper down, broke (just because of a dent that got put in it (i dont know how)). but overall an amazing set of chaps
Quality: the leather part is amazing, as long as you clean it at least once every 2-3 weeks with a leather cleaner - other wise the chaps get gross and start to smell bad - also the elastic part that goes on the bottom of the shoe is starting to fray for me and so im probably going to have to replace them soon - - - - - - all these issues are most likely avoidable, because they are mostly personal problems that i have because i work so much at the barn and im there every day of the week working, but someone who rides once or twice a week shouldn't have the problems that i am experiencing, and shouldn't have to clean them as often
Summary: overall a great pair of chaps! i would definitely recommend them!
