Purchase: I bought the halter and lead rope for $59.99 on the Clinton Anderson website. I had seen the halter and lead at a Clinton Anderson clinic and really liked it.
Likes: I really like the 14' lead rope because it lets me get a safe distance from my 6yr old mare when I'm working her. And the extra weight on the end works really well when I'm desensitizing her. I also really like the stiffness of the rope halter. And the two extra knots add pressure on the bridge of the nose and discourage my horse from pulling back or misbehaving. They add just enough discomfort but not too much, which is great! And they come in a bunch of different colors!
Dislikes: Once the snap got some sand in it and it was a little hard to close. But other than that I've had no problems.
Quality: The halter is made of full rope that is stiffer then on other rope halters on the market. It has 4 knots on the noseband which all work on the pressure points on the nose. The lead rope is 14 feet long and has a twist snap on it. They come in various colors.
Summary: I love this halter and lead rope! Nothing else works like this does! With other halters and shorter lead ropes my mare pulls a lot and is very pushy, so then I have to use a lot of pressure on my part. But with the 2 extra knots I only use a little bit of pressure and she responds to it immediately. She's become way softer then she used to be and is so much more respectful and she stays out of my space until I invite her in. The 14 foot lead rope is great when I'm longing her for respect and desensitising her. I would recommend this product to any horse owner.
