Purchase: I purchased the Troxel Sierra Helmet at Equine Affaire. Troxel set up a booth, so I was hoping the price was reduced, but it wasn't - $99.00. Still, my head is worth it.
Likes: I like the fit of this helmet, with the easy to adjust sliding piece in the back, and the harness portion. It is well ventilated and comfortable. This helmet sits well on my head without moving around at a trot or canter.
Dislikes: I have had to add a larger visor as the one it comes with is basically useless.
Quality: This is a well made Troxel helmet. In my view, Troxel sets the standard on helmets. They stand behind their product, which is nice these days.
Summary: I'm on my 4th Troxel helmet over the last 10 years. Troxel replaced 2 of them for free after I cracked them. These helmets do what they are supposed to do, protect the riders head. Worth every penny.
