Purchase: I was sold this saddle through a dealer in Iowa that is convinced and very good at convincing others that this saddle is the only comfortable saddle for your horse.
I custom ordered it from Washington.
It was over @2000.00.

Dislikes: EVERYTHING!!!!
First the leather quality was substandard. The HDR line has nicer leather and is less expensive. Plus, the supposedly soft back panel is hard not soft.
Second, after one month my healthy thoroughbred couldn't even pick up a canter his back was so sore! After a $250 vet bill and opening my eyes I realized that this saddle could not possibly be comfortable for a horse. At least not a horse with withers. There may be no tree but there is also no channel for the horse to lift his spine into therefore placing direct pressure from the saddle onto the horse's spine.
PLEASE! SOMEONE! DO A STUDY ON THE ANSUR SADDLE'S AFFECT ON THE HORSE'S SPINE!!!
Quality: Not worth the money.
Summary: If you love your horse, don't buy this saddle. Save up and buy a used (or new if you can) Schleese. It is the best investment (after my horse) that I have ever made.
