Purchase: I event, and I needed a saddle for both stadium and xc jumping. I went to Dover Saddlery and tried out many saddles, including all of the Circuits (I was NOT impressed by), Toulouses, and then I sat in the Bdh Special. I knew right away I'd take it home. I paid $990 for it plus I got a free $180 leather girth that matches the saddle perfectly! This saddle is great for someone who wants the comfort and quality of a $3,000 saddle but not the budget!
Likes: The saddle is gorgeous, it is two toned and the leather is super soft and supple.This saddle is VERY well made. This saddle is basically broken in already for you! It is super comfortable and sets your legs in a very nice position (i've also done dressage in this saddle- that works too). If you have a leg swinging problem, I recommend this saddle.
Dislikes: The only thing was I didn't see much info about the saddle before hand (reviews to look at)which made me a little nervous to try it out, but I love it! Other then that just the stirrup leathers are hard to put on the saddle, but I figure its just because its a new saddle.
Quality: Very well made. Quality is amazing, the best leather is used on this saddle, the stitching is great.
Summary: This saddle is perfect for the hunter, jumper, or eventer. It is beautiful and of great quality, super comfortable, and puts you in the right position.
