Purchase: My other saddles have been fitted for my TBs so I needed a saddle to ride my young horses in, after having them started in a Western saddle. Although I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I definitely can appreciate the quality of this saddle and the fit it gives the younger appendix and the TB/Perch crosses. It is lovely leather, and of course wool flocked so it can be adjusted when needed. It offers a wonderful close contact feel and a balanced position. Mine is a 17" medium tree I got used from Trumbull Mt Saddlery for $1500. They are awesome to deal with -- really know their stuff. I purchased there before, so called and talked about what I needed as far as fit and this was the best all around choice as I didn't want to spend any more money that I had to in order to get a good fit. These saddles were also recommended by my saddle fitter to fit a flatter backed horse with average withers, in this case. Good deal.
Likes: Quality workmanship, great balance and feel, gorgeous traditional appearance.
Dislikes: Can't really say anything bad. My filly may have to get used to the point billets, but they are good bec she doesn't have a big wither.
Quality: Excellent!
Summary: I'm very happy with the saddle. It's always a pleasure dealing with Trumbull Mt too.
