Purchase: I bought this blanket last minute at a tack shop near me for a new horse that arrived in Vermont in january with no clothes. I paid $250 for it but thought that the price was reasonable since the blanket is rated from 50 degrees down to 5 below zero.
Likes: I love the blanket's usefullness in unpredictable spring and fall weather, I don't have to go traipsing out to take off the blanket as the days warm up nor do I have to add a layer when the day turns colder. Also the construction is high quality and looks great.
Dislikes: This blanket is not really a great fit for my high withered thoroughbred it is more suitable for hoses that are flatter in the withers. Also the flannel lining collectd huge amounts of hair that must be removed before washing and has a tendency to damage that hair across the hips a shoulders as the season progresses.
Quality: Excellent, love the color, looks, and is holding up well after two seasons of use.
Summary: A great purchase for anyone who does not want to have a million different blankets hanging on the stall. Just not a great idea for the sharp angled hard to fit hose.
