Purchase: Purchased at Brubachers Saddlery for $1995.
Likes: After trying many brands of saddles this Pessoa gave the best fit on my thoroughbred. It is super comfortable to ride in and cleans up like new with easy.
Dislikes: After having it for only 1 year 2 months the gullet broke while riding. Never had the saddle been dropped nor did my horse fall on it, so I could not understand how a gullet could break unless it was already defected . The saddlery contacted Pessoa and was told that they would replace the gullet but it would take 2 - 3 months, with a shipping cost to me. First, I was extremely disappointed in losing the saddle since I am in the peak season of eventing and had made it to the upcoming championship and am now left with scrambling to borrow a proper fitting saddle. Second, 2 - 3 months is a long time to be without a saddle that you only had a little over a year. I was hoping on a better warranty.
Quality: I was happy with this saddle and probably bought the only "lemon" saddle made by Pessoa. Sometimes it seems my luck !!!
I am really disappointed with the service though.
Summary: It is too bad that when I thought I finally found the perfect fitting saddle company it turns out to leave me in a panic to find another good fit for event season. I wish they would put in place a quicker service time frame.
