Purchase: I purchased this martingale from horseloverz.com after researching the best, economical quality leathers. I paid $36.00. I wanted something that would be appropriate for the show ring, but I train a lot of young horses more than showing, so I didn't want something I'd worry about using regularly. I also don't like wasting money on something to just have a "name brand."
Likes: I love the quality of the leather. My trainer was amazed, and she has top of the line everything (custom, $5K and higher saddles, etc.). This isn't just good for the price, it's good, period.
Dislikes: Not really a dislike - I did buy a larger size because I don't like a tight martingale. I measured my mare with her head at rest. I only want a martingale to avoid getting knocked out if she throws her head up, but I still want her to have max freedom. My mare is a feminine TB, 16hh, but I got the oversize martingale. It still fits her without sagging, so maybe they run small? I'd suggest checking size to make sure.
Quality: The stitching is even and strong, and the leather is supple and smooth. It did not take endless oiling to make this feel good, but it's not wimpy either.
Summary: I'd recommend Camelot products to anyone based on this product. I notice Dover now carries the line, so I think other people are catching on to this "secret."
