Purchase: I bought these breeches last fall, for this show season. I bought them from a local tack store ( The Horse Habit ) for about $100, though I have seen them advertised for up to $150 elsewhere. I bought them in white so that they would be versatile. I can use them in Dressage, or my usual Hunter/Jumper.
Likes: They are really comfortable! I do a lot of shows, so it is nice to have breeches that I can stand around in if need be. I also like the full seat, because it makes them a little tougher than some of the jods and breeches that have only the knee reinforcement. Also, they look really sharp, I think that is partly due to the white on my black horse though. The pocket is nice too. My last pair of show breeches had a pocket inside them, this one has a zipper closed pocket you can actually use.
Dislikes: There are only two things. First, because of the full seat, they take a little while to break in. The first time I wore them at a show, I could barely mount my horse! But within 15 minutes of putting them on now (about 7 shows later) they are as supple as any other jodhpurs or breeches. Second is just the fact that the white marks up really easy, so they for sure need to be washed every time I show in them.
Quality: It's good. they are very durable, and have stood up to many washings. I would, however suggest wearing a belt, as mine seem to slip down as i'm jumping, so that my shirt eventually ends up untucked, kind of annoying, but not a real problem.
Summary: I would buy these again, but I would make to sure to wear them around house a few times before I show!
