Purchase: A know-it-all friend told mine about this product, so I went to my local feed store and tried a bag. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try since my other feed was making my horse look like a yak. It seems to vary in price depending on location but in my hill billy, country town it runs $28.00 per bag.
Likes: The feed is in a pellet form, which is great since the flies seem to eat more than my horses do when it's sweet feed. I also like that I don't have to feed pounds upon pounds of it to get the desired nutrients. I only have to feed one fourth as much as the regular feeds.
Dislikes: This product will not work on bulimics, anorexics, or horses that eat very little forage. This feed only works properly on horses eating 20-40 lbs in forage per day. Also, the bag is not reinforced so it will break easily if it gets wet.
Quality: You have probably guessed by now that it's high quality, or I would not have continued feeding it, right?
Summary: Actually, it really is a great feed and a superb choice for someone feeding free choice forage. It comes in various formulas depending on what type of hay you feed.
