Purchase: I wanted a fancy looking show bit, but with a medium port and shorter shank. Oh yeah, I also was on a budget! Surely I ask too much! It seemed like no matter where I looked, I could not find exactly what I wanted and in my price range. After many long and pain staking hours of research, I found this bit. I then compared prices and found a cheap online tack shop called Hendersons Western that carried it. I only paid $21.95 compared to other websites that charged $35 - $50!
Likes: Compared to my old, boring, plain looking bit, this one is very fancy. Well, that doesn't sound fair. It is fancy even compared to your average show bit, too! The engraving is well done and not skimpy. It is also lightweight, which is something else that I wanted. My mare is too sensitive to carry around a dead weight in her mouth. Overall, this bit was perfect for a mild mannered reining mare that just needed an intermediate bit and nothing harsh. It even has copper inlay.
Dislikes: Dear reader, I like everything and have not one complaint!
Quality: It is very well constructed and pinchless. The aluminum is sturdy and solid. The quality is very high.
Summary: This is a good looking, mild curb bit for anyone wanting something to show in that's affordable!
