Purchase: I purchased this for my my husbands birthday from HORSE.COM and paid about $80 for it. He had been needing a new pad and he hangs when he gets on and rides with way to tight a cinch so I thought this might help
Likes: It rinses off clean and looks nice. It seems to fit well and does what it is suppose to mostly, keeping the saddle from slipping.
Dislikes: The binding on this rubs, very bad. If you ride a lot and do a lot of hill climbing it will give your horse a sore back. It was fine for short rides but when we rode 8-10 hours a day for 4 days, my husbands horse had a very sore back by his spine. I wasn't sure what was causing it, same saddle on this horse for 5 years but it finally dawned on me that it was the pad rubbing. Now if we want to use it, we'll have to put a blanket underneath which totally defeats the tacky too purpose.
Quality: This pad seems to be constructed well but the binding is to thick and rough.
Summary: I wish I wouldn't have purchased this and spent a little more and got a wool lined pad for him. It's not designed well with the binding...just noticed that my daughter's tacky too cinch has started doing the same thing on whatever horse she's riding so back to neoprene and staying away from this stuff
