Purchase: I bought my Dixieland Saddle 3 years ago. I was in a trailer accident with my horses and one of my horses sustained injuries right down his spine. When he started healing I became a nut about saddle fit because of his back. He is a big walking horse, and my other horse is a spotted racking horse. Research on the internet led me to Dixleland Gaited Saddles and Cynthia. I paid in the neighborhood of $1200 dollars each for the two endurance saddles I ordered. I could find really good reviews but none from anyone who had their saddle for any length of time.
Likes: I can say after 3 years of owning these saddles, they are the best. I loved the look and quality of the saddle when I bought it, but the test is in the fit on the horse and the comfort of ride and these saddles give you that in spades. Someone on a ride not long ago commented on my saddle and ask if it was new-------that's how good it looks after 3 years and my saddle is not one that sits on a rack and is never used! Cynthia IS Dixieland Saddles and a more informed,nicer person you will be hard pressed to find.
Dislikes: There is not really anything about these saddles that I find negative.
Quality: I would put my saddle quality and construction right up there at the top, and that includes saddles that cost a lot more money.
Summary: My brother and I have 3 horses and 3 Dixlieland Gaited Saddles. When we got our 3rd horse,a year after we had gotten our saddles for our other horses, there was no question where his saddle would be coming from. That pretty much says it all.
