Purchase: I was looking for a good solid ranch saddle that I could use for some long hours trail riding and sturdy enough for ranch work when I needed it. I paid $1,650 for it discounted.
Likes: The workmanship was superb and the tooling was beautiful. It was very much worth the money. I've owned several custom made saddles in my lifetime and this one ranks right up there at half the price.
I've been using it for several months and it gets more comfortable with each use.
Dislikes: I wish they made it in a 17". Other then that, I can't think of anything I would want done differently except to have the stirrup leathers finished in an Arizona twist (which I did myself).
Quality: The saddle is very well built. The stitching is straight and the leather is cut evenly all around. The tooling is deep and even with the floral work beautifully carved.
It has nice long strings in the right places.
Summary: There really isn't anything else that I can add. My overall opinion of this saddle is that it is a bargain for the money and one that should last a lifetime.
