Purchase: I bought this saddle at Dover for around $1,300 brand new.
Likes: It's a beautiful looking saddle. That craftsmanship is impeccable, the leather beautiful.
I also initially really loved the deep seat. It felt like sitting on a sofa. The flaps are longer which was great, since I am long legged. The flaps are cut somewhere between a dressage and jumping saddle. Since I do both, I figured this saddle would be perfect.
Dislikes: The saddle felt fine on the flat; it put me in a good position, nice and deep in the saddle. However, it did not work for me at all when jumping. The pommel is very high, so even when posting the trot the pommel seemed in the way. Over fences I was doing all sorts of acrobatics to avoid my nether regions being hurt. It also didn't help my leg position over fences at all.
Quality: Impeccable construction. A stunning-looking saddle. Great quality leather. Stitching was sturdy, just a beautiful saddle.
Summary: I think this saddle is great on the flat for longer legged riders. If you plan on jumping, I recommend against this saddle. The seat it too deep and pommel too high to be able to not get hurt when 2-pointing or jumping a fence.
