Purchase: Found this tubular steel saddle dolly cart system at Horse and Rider, unknown manufacturer. It has wheels and a basket and 5 hook tack rack. It is made of powdered coated steel. Paid $99 and tax.
Likes: I liked it when I saw it at the horse show being used by another. Apparently not all units are made the same because the one I bought certainly did not live up to expectations. Most likely a Chinese rip-off of a better made brand as there is no brand name on it.
Dislikes: Ugh! What a disappointing piece of crap! The problem is the racks insert into the holes on the bars at too high an angle, actually causing them to stick up at 45 degree angle instead of level. This causes saddle to sit looking like they are doing a nose dive, at too high an angle causing whole cart to fall over. I have to return mine because it is useless for its intended purpose!
Quality: Good construction, not hard to assemble EXCEPT the saddle racks---angle of the bend of the metal that sticks in the holes is too wide. Should be at or about 90 degree bend but way more than that which causes each rack to look like the Titanic pitched high in the air as it sinks into the Atlantic.
Summary: Taking it back and getting my hard earned cash back asap!
