Allows my barefoot mare to move freely on gravel, & when road riding.
She is tender in the front since going barefoot & these boots do help. I bought size 3. When I measured her after a trim she seemed in between sizes 2 & 3. I have not noticed any chaffing (I haven't used the "socks" that are available) The stay in position through mud and water
Likes: Savings compared to shoeing, easy to fit,
Dislikes: They look strange/clunky. I haven't used the plastic strap attachments, they look & feel ineffective & would be easily lost
Quality: They are well made, solid to use, good leather.
Summary: Surprisingly useful especially for my kind of recreational riding. I don't ride enough to wear out horse shoes, so far great value compared to shoeing costs
