Trekker Neutron Endurance Saddle
Trail Saddles
Manufacturer: King Series
Model: Trekker Neutron Endurance Saddle
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I had been looking for a Cordura saddle that I could be comfortable with. I am picky about quality of Cordura saddles. There is(was now)a family owned tack shop, in Springfield MO, I had stopped at(one of many tack shops I stopped at)and they treated me like one of their own. We talked about saddles, looked in many magazines, ate lunch, and talked some more. I was a customer before hand, but this day, they won me over. They ordered this saddle having no clue if it would fit my growing gelding, but we gave it a try. He would put it on the shelf with the others and sell it if it didn't fit.
I was so happy when that saddle came in. It was perfect! I took it home, tried it on(bareback of course)and although I needed a thick pad due to him being young(4 yrs old and growing)I knew I had a match, and it looked great! I took my horse out on trails, and one day, he decided that the sand needed rolled in, with me on him. Down he went as my leg reached for the earth to dismount. He rolled on the side of it, came back up and shook. I checked(in between laughing)the saddle out and it had not one scratch on it. Had it been leather, it may of scratched. Now you know the rolling wasn't right, but it was a quick movement and no time to stop him. The saddle is fine, I still use it today. He is 6, coming 7, Jan 2010. The saddle is still in great shape, and fits like a glove, now that he has finished growing. I couldn't be happier with my choice of saddles.
I paid $470.00. The saddle runs for less money today.
Likes: The fit, weight, color, ease of use and care.
Dislikes: The endurance stirrups. I traded mine for aluminum stirrups.
Quality: Cordura fenders and skirts
Leather jockeys and a soft seat
Semi-quarter horse bars and fiberglass-reinforced tree
Padded fleece underside
Quick change buckles
Brass hardware with multiple rings
Summary: For those of you looking for an new, inexpensive saddle of quality, for trails or pleasure riding, this is one I would tell my friends about, and why I'm telling you!
