Purchase: This halter was purchased from Smartpak online for $39.95 and shipped free.
Likes: This halter is Amish made by Perri's Leather Company. I chose the 3/4" width to refine my warmblood crosses small head- the 1" halters from most companies over powered his head. I like the adaptability of this halter to go from everyday halter to grooming halter. I show A circuit hunters against riders with only the most discriminating tastes. Most riders purchase the Walsh brand of halters which go for nearly $100. I feel that the Perri's is a cheaper alternative and equally as gorgeous and quality.
Dislikes: It's a bit tougher to find nameplates to fit the 3/4" halter but well worth it in my opinion.
Quality: This is a very thick, supple leather. The snaps are solid brass and easy to use. It's very adjustable to fit a large varieties of heads, although I think that to get pony, cob, or oversized you have to order directly from Perri's Leather Company.
Summary: This a great halter, beautiful, affordable, and absolutely great quality. Now all of my horses have one.
