Circuit Elite E/Q
Close Contact Saddles
Manufacturer: Dover
Model: Circuit Elite E/Q
Category: Close Contact Saddles
Purchase: I had been riding in a hand me down Lancer for a year or so and deicded it was time for a new saddle. I had ridden in many types of saddles, from the Lancer, an HDR to the Pessoa and Bates. After riding in a regular close contact Circuit for a few months, I decided I liked that the most for the price, style, and overall quality. I picked out my saddle for Christmas for my not so horse savvy parents to purchase for me. We got it on sale for $800 at Dover.
Likes: They are such nice quality saddles! They are basically generic Pessoas(they are made in the same place). I have had my saddle for a year now, and still love it! It has to be one of the best saddles I have ridden in. I used to ride in the school saddles at my college(they had Collegiates) and I stopped and started using mine because love my saddle more!(Thank goodness I'm allowed to bring mine to school!)
The overall quality of this saddle is exceptional. Countless weekly/daily rides through every weather condition, dirt, falls, everything and this saddle still looks and feels amazing! It also fits all of horses I ride very well, from small t-breds and ponys to big warmbloods.
It also fits me very well, its a 17 inch, and its perfect! The E/Q has a slightly longer flap for people like me with really long legs. It fits me so well. I will admit it is super comfy too! The seat and knee rolls are so soft and take wear nicely, they still look new! The flaps were never slippery or stiff and have broken in nicely.
I love my saddle!
Dislikes: None! I love my saddle. I do wish it had come with a free bridle though, like Dover used to do. The only thing I do reccomend, is that you do buy nice quality leathers for the saddle, cheep ones dont do to well.
Quality: Beautiful! The stitching is perfect and holds up well. I love the design of the saddle, it looks so nice and high quality. You would never guess it is an $800 saddle, it looks more like a $1,000+ saddle. In my opinion it is a whole lot better than an HDR or a Collegiate, and almost as nice as a Pessoa or Bates.
Summary: If you are looking for a really nice saddle, but dont want to splurge on a Bates or Pessoa, get this saddle. If you can afford $100 extra dollars, get the matching Circuit leathers, they look so much nicer with the saddle than cheep ones.
Buy it when it is on sale to save some money. Dover always has good deals on Circuits, and sometimes they come with a free matching Circuit Bridle(which are really nice!)
