Purchase: I found Riders Choice through a friend who had purchased a great bareback pad from them on Ebay..I looked them up on Ebay and called them about the barrel saddles they had. They build American made Saddles in Alabama and sell them starting at 300.00. I choose the Pro Series for 685.00 and they custom built it for me in 7 weeks.
Likes: The best thing about this saddle is that I got EXACTLY what I wanted. A saddle made custom for me without having to pay middlemen. It is built on a Custom Steele Saddle Tree with 15oz. Leather, hand carved. It fits my horse perfect, which is hard to come by. I looked on the internet and at shows and stores and I couldn't have touched this saddle for 1500.00 anywhere. This is great!
Dislikes: Noticed nothing yet! It is great
Quality: As I already stated the saddle leather is top notch, the construction is lovingly put together. It has a great fleece underlayment and real montana silver. The hand carving was superb. I have never sat in a saddle that felt so right from the start. It also had a nice little hoof pick holder.
Summary: My final comments are just that if you are thinking about buying a saddle you really need to contact the guys at Riders Choice in Alabama. You can find them on the web by doing a search like I did. I know they sell their saddles on Ebay. They are just super and the saddles can be made to your specs. I love mine and I am sure you will too!
