Purchase: I bought this online from Smart Pak Equine for 16.95 plus shipping.
Likes: Well I just got this stuff on Wednesday and I love it! I have used it twice on my brand new saddle. I have used Leather Therapy and regular glycerin soap on it and didn't feel like the leather was very conditioned, it was still really stiff.
The first time I used the lederbalsam it was just a quick once over and I left it on for about an hour (it recommended overnight) and in that short amount of time my saddle softened up considerably. I then used it again a few days later and left it on for about 8 hours and my saddle feels wonderful. It's buttery soft and doesn't have that stiff new leather feel at all.
Dislikes: The only thing I do not like about this is that when I got the tin it seemed to have leaked or something because the outside was a bit greasy. Even after wiping it off the lid where it snaps on to the container still is greasy.
Still this is only a minor flaw.
Quality: It comes in a metal can. Fairly sturdy.
Summary: I am very pleased with this product. A little bit goes a long way. Though its a bit expensive, it is well worth the price considering the quality. It doesn't stain my clothes or make my hands sticky like Leather Therapy does. Plus it smells really good.
