Purchase: I purchased these boots at a local tack shop for $99. Was looking for comfort, good styling and quality and counted on Ariat to deliver. Loved the option of the back zip convenience-no cumbersome laces to deal with except for adjustments!
Likes: Comfortable supportive foot bed. Great for jumping or dressage when paired with half chaps. Adjusted the laces once, then always used the back zips. I was impressed with what I considered genius engineering on behalf of the Ariat designers.
Dislikes: After 1 1/2 years the zipper broke. Liking these boots very much we were off to the boot repair man. I found it costs almost as much as a new pair to have these replaced. These boots were not heavily used (I have 2 other pair of boots I ride in also).
Quality: After 2 years the interior, outer leather and stitching have held up great. Very disappointed in zippers which Ariat does not warranty and saddened to have experienced and lost such a novel design.
Summary: If you purchase these buy lace ups. Would not buy again due to multiple Ariat zipper failures.Overall disappointed that Ariat will not stand behind this product. These boots had a lot of life left in them for such a major defect.
