Purchase: I got this helmet from my local tack store because a helmet needs to fit well and be comfortable.
Likes: This helmet is so comfortable that I forget to take it off after I get off my horse. It makes my friend at the barn envious because she always is keen to get out of her helmet.
The helmet comes well down over the back of your head, and the proved important the one time I have fallen off wearing it. I landed flat on my back and smacked my head on the road, although not all that hard. It was a hot hot day and I had briefly considered not wearing a helmet, but because this one is so comfortable I pulled it on. Only one of the other people I was riding with was wearing a helmet!
Dislikes: I wish it did not say the brand name in big letters in the back, but I saw that the newer of these models have a more subtle branding. Be aware, this is the Tipperary Sportage helmet made until about 2007 that I am reviewing. They came out with a "Sportage Plus" that fits differently and is being replaced by the one more like the original.
Quality: Excellent.
Summary: If anything happens to my helmet, I will buy another just like this.
