Purchase: I got this saddle for Christmas, my family purchased it for me because my old saddle was literally falling apart. They got it on a mega closeout sale at one of the local tack stores. They paid $150 for it.
Likes: I really love this saddle. It fits my large pony hunter paint gelding perfect I got the matching bridle as well and I love the color it looks so nice and rich. Great buy for the price. Good for schooling at home, and cleans up nice for the hunter shows.Ive had it for over 2 years and it still looks brand new.
Dislikes: There isn't much that I don't like. I wish the leather was a little bit nicer. I read in other reviews about the color wearing off, the saddle being slick and not breaking in nicely. To prevent this I oiled it everyday for a while before and after riding, instead of the color wearing off, it became nice and dark, the leather broke in and became nice and sticky, I really do love this saddle.
Quality: As I said before the quality of leather could be a bit better but if you take the time to oil it up alot it breaks in and the leather becomes considerably nice. Construction holds up well after two years of pretty heavy use nothing has come loose.
Summary: Great saddle for the price, great for schooling and cleans up in the showpen. All you have to do is take 5 minutes everyday for a little bit to oil it up. amazing saddle, loved it.
