Purchase: I purchased this saddle used for $900 including shipping. It was a deal! Never could I have ever afforded one elsewhere in this condition. I had trialed the Passier Relevant before and was in love with it.
Likes: Awesome quality and comfort (for both horse and rider!) The saddle was in excellent shape except for a few dings and smudges/regular use. Beautifully made, wool flocking. And I found out it was a 2005 model. Fits both horses (Arabian and Oldenburg)...yeah I was SURPRISED it did! I had been through saddle fitting heck and back with both guys. Mine is a Medium-Wide Tree, just so you know ;)
Dislikes: There is nothing I don't like.
Quality: Beautiful German leather with tight stitching and wool flocking. Wide channel between the panels which clears my broad Arabian's back PERFECTLY! I never thought I'd see the day a saddle like this would fit him properly. It has a V-billet system to prevent saddle slipping. Beautiful stainless silvery stirrup bars and maker's plate. Puts you in an unrestricted classical dressage position and allows your hips to relax while riding. Knee blocks are not huge and are very comfortable. My horses move much freer and relaxed when I ride them in it. Of course, I do use a comfort pad for the Oldenburg to compensate for his conformation. It has a cutback pommel for wither clearance...Very spacious around the withers which is also good for horses who have low withers....wither clearance is always good :)
Summary: I highly recommend this saddle to ANYONE. But, if you like large knee rolls, you may not like it because it doesn't have huge knee rolls. Knee rolls are concealed on this model.
