Purchase: I bought this saddle from The Equestrian Center in Avon, CT. I paid a little over 2100.00 for it. I had an HDR that just wasn't working for me or my horse.
Likes: This is a very well balanced and comfortable saddle. I feel very secure be it over fences (no matter the size) or on my hot TB. I had always been very biased to my old Crosby Centennial (didn't fit my TB) but I have to say that I like this one just as well. I had always been a little put off with Pessoa. I had heard that the quality could be questionable but I have no complaints. It took oil beautifully and seems to be holding up to my abuse. I am a horse professional so I need my equipment to hold up. I have had no problems with the stirrup leathers rubbing the flaps!
Dislikes: So far so good. Maybe I should do a check in after a year of abuse:)
Quality: The Leather is so soft and felt broken in from day one. I have never felt better in a brand new saddle. It really is a beautiful saddle. I also love the fact that I can change the gullet size and it is very easy to change. The gullet plates are nice because they not only have a medium but also a medium wide. This is great because my TB has a bit of a wide shoulder.
Summary: I love this saddle. I have no complaints about it so far. While it was painful to pay for it is worth every penny. You know the saying "you get what you pay for".
