Purchase: I purchased this saddle from The Chap Shop in Harrisonville, Mo. I believe I paid $1,300 for it, but it has been a few years so I'm not certain. The store owners were very helpful and even had a friend bring the saddle to a show in my area for me to try out.
Likes: I've owned this saddle for a few years now and it has been a great purchase! It is very comfortable for a smaller female rider since it has a special narrow twist, I find most reining saddle to be to wide for me. The equiflex tree seems to be very comfortable for the horse. This saddle has fit my past 3 horses and I have had to replace all my other saddles with each horse. It is also very classy looking in the show ring and easy to clean with minimal but well placed tooling.
Dislikes: The only potential negative is that while the mostly smooth leather is easy to clean it also scratches easily. I keep mine oiled and this had prevented or buffed out any scratches. In my opinion the ease of cleaning out ways this problem.
Quality: This saddle has good quality leather and stitching. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design. Mine has worn very well and still looks and rides great after 3 years.
Summary: This is an affordable attractive reining saddle that is comfortable for both horse and rider.
