Purchase: I got them for free as a promotion for tack store employees to test product.
Likes: I chose the zebra color and loved the way they looked. I also like a lot of their other options. I liked the Kevlar on the back for added protection and the suspensory support on the inside of the boot.
Dislikes: Unfortunately none of my likes mattered. My horse HATES these boots. I ride him in Professionals Choice SMB III's and Elites, Polo Wraps, and Davis Splint Boots and have never had a problem but when I put the Legacy's on him he didn't want to move forward at first, kicked out his legs, and then proceeded to short step to the point of almost limping when I tried loping him around the arena. I even had the Sales Rep fit them so that I knew they were on properly. I haven't tried the boots on any of my other horses, but now I am a bit afraid to because I don't really trust the boots not to injure or hurt them. I also didn't like that when my horse moved the boots made lots of loud stiff velcro noises (I am not sure how else to describe it) as if my horse's movement was fighting the velcro.
Quality: Construction seems great. The velcro sticks really well, I liked the Kevlar, and I did like that no dirt seemed to get in.
Summary: In theory these boots are great! I just wish that they didn't constrict or hurt my horse!! Unfortunately I will be sticking to my SMB's, Polo Wraps, and Davis boots in the future.
