Purchase: I had standing wraps to use for shipping, but at 5 in the morning before I show, I wanted to upgrade. I got 4 Amigo Shipping Boots in Red/Pumice (to match me sheet!) at Country Tack in Lanesborough, MA, for about $40.
Likes: I like absolutely everything about these boots! They were cheap, they work great, they've held up to everything, and they never slide an inch! True to the Horseware Ireland name, they're a great quality item that everyone can use and love. Whether your horse is a nervous shipper and needs the big "special safety boots", or if he's an old veteran who couldn't care less, these boots are awesome! They look bulky, but they're light enough to be comfortable, and the fleecy lining keeps legs clean. Lastly, they go down far enough on the leg to protect your horse's heels and shoes, and most importantly, you pretty much can't wrap them too tight, so no worrying about bowing a tendon.
Dislikes: There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about these boots. Everyone should own a pair.
Quality: Typical Horseware Ireland quality: heavy-duty velcro straps stick tight, and since there's only three, they're quick and easy to put on. The boots are shaped to fit the leg, so you never have to wonder which boot goes on which leg. I've had them for over a year, and I still love them!
Summary: Bottom line: If you're looking for shipping boots that are safe, secure, stay in place, are cheap and are easy to put on, these are the boots for you.
