Purchase: There was a article in the August 2009 issue of The Barrel Horse News. I had a horse with tendon weakness issues at the time. I need a support boot that could be used during warm up and competition. The Professional Choice boots gave my protection but not the support this horse needed. I tried my mom's Classic Equine boots still not the support that I needed. That was the main reason I tried them after reading the article. I paid $85 for the front boots.
Likes: I love the design of the boot. It really is the only support boot out there with the double sling strap. It has 360 degree of support reverses 360 degree protection. They have helped support my horses tendon issue during hard competition. They don't move and they don't fill up with dirt like Professional Choice did. I have been barrel racing all my life and I have went through almost every boot. They help my horse feel more confident with every step.
Dislikes: So far there is nothing I dislike about these boots.
Quality: Iconoclast has a double sling strap to give the fetlock equal support. With its evenly distributed support to the suspensory branches, Iconoclast is the only boot that truly lifts and cradles the equine leg. Designed to reduce joint interference and restriction, this is the perfect all around boot for every equine discipline. They are not bulky. They stay in place. Iconoclast was designed by a trainer and a leading veterinarian. The proof is in the boot itself. You can see the support just by looking at the design. Constructed of Orthopedic grade Neoprene, the highest grade of UBL on the market, and a soft, comfortable knit inner lining. It not only performs, but it lasts.
Summary: I have found the total package in this boot. It is the only boot that I use on my horses. I definitely got what I paid for and a peace of mind that my five year old barrel horse has extra support help that he needed. Now my mom uses the boots too.
