Purchase: I bought my first Wintec western saddle from horse.com for around $240. My second was acquired from Fleet Farm for about the same price.
Likes: I love the comfort of them! The seats are comfy, and the stirrups are nice and thick. The synthetic leather requires little care, and is built really well. The price is great when comparing it to the quality of the saddle--a leather saddle of this quality might cost twice as much. It is lightweight, less than 20 pounds, making it much easier to tack up your horse.
Dislikes: Nothing.
Quality: It is well built, with the horse and rider in mind. The trees fit my horses great, and the synthetic leather resists scuffs and scrapes from the trail.
Summary: If you are looking for an economical alternative to an expensive leather saddle, cannot lift heavy saddles, or dislike all the cleaning and oiling that comes with the traditional leather saddle, Wintec's synthetic saddle may be for you!
