Purchase: I bought this halter 4 years ago for around $20 because my horse needed a good, sturdy halter.
Likes: It is very well made! The rivets in the crown and chin make adjustment easy. The throat snap is very nice so when other people halter him, they don't have to adjust the fit (perfect for well-meaning non-horsie dads!).
Dislikes: The nylon started fraying a bit after a few years of use, but remained stable. My gelding likes to rub his head when he is tied, which is why it frayed a bit.
My gelding was able to remove the halter when he was tied, but I think that happened because it wasn't properly adjusted.
Quality: Very well made--the stitching stayed put, and the hardware is strong. I really love how adjustable this halter is. My gelding is in between cob and arab sizes, but with all of the adjustments that could be made it is a perfect fit.
Summary: If you are looking for a well made traditional halter, this is the way to go!
