Purchase: I bought these reins at State Line Tack for around $30. After a recent trail ride left my hands covered in blisters from my nylon reins, I was looking for something a bit softer to handle.
Likes: It's comfort and construction. It feels like you have little pillows between your fingers--they are very comfortable reins. Easy to clean, strong, and nice looking.
Dislikes: I'm primarily a western rider, so I find these reins to be much to short for my western trained horses. With horses with higher headsets, you shouldn't have any problem with this though.
They obviously don't really look like real leather, which may be a downside to some.
Quality: Very well made--rust proof, snag proof, doesn't crack, need oiling or cleaning. They are soft and supple, even right out of the box.
Summary: If you're looking for a comfy set of reins, these are for you! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a more comfortable ride.
