Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: I bought this saddle from Trumbull Moutain Tack in 2007 or 2008 for $1050. I was looking for a trail saddle for my recently retired dressage Arabian.
Likes: Saddle was immediately comfortable and placed me in perfect shoulder/hip/heel alignment. Saddle became more and more comfortable with use. It fit my Arabian well with the use of a Skito pad. Saddle was comfortable and secure.
Dislikes: After less than one month of use, the leather below the stirrup leathers was excessively worn. The stitching in places was less than perfect in some areas, primarily on the backside of the cantle.
Quality: Overall, the saddle is very good quality for the price. As mentioned above, the finish on the leather is not the best and some of the stitching is not top notch. Also, leather took a bit to fully break in.
Summary: Overall, a great buy for the money. Very comfortable and secure. I would buy again.
Usefulness Rating: 2.8 out of 5.
