Purchase: I bought a Kelley Hug blanket and a Kelley Hug sheet from HorseLoverZ.com because it was a 1650 denier rather than the 600 denier sold by5 Dover. The blanket was $130 and the sheet was $100.
Likes: The hug design is so great...no rubs or restrictions on the horse.
Dislikes: They run small...at least 2 inches in length and the sides hardly cover the horse (size 82 which is his size for the last 6 years). All the fittings are on the max setting and barely go around him. I see from their web site that they no longer have this blanket or sheet, which is no wonder. Had I not needed to use them immediately, I would have gone to expense of returning them. I wish I had not switched from Dover. Even with the lesser denier, their hugs did a great job.
Quality: Both sheet and blanket are very well made, what there is of them. They would be great if they were just more generous in size. Perhaps for small horses they would work; but for the 16 hands and up, you get to view the back 2-3 inches of your horse at all times. At least no rubbing of the tail!
Summary: Waste of time if you want your horse completely protected (even the rear 2-3 inches). Really too bad, because the product itself is very good.
